  • We're self-sufficient in terms of PA equipment, can play outdoors, and dress appropriately for each event (themed if feasible).

Do you only play ABBA and Fleetwood Mac?

  • We play material from a variety of other artists too, including The Beatles, Billy Joel, Carole King, Cher, Cold Chisel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Daddy Cool, Divinyls, Dragon, Elton John, The Four Seasons, Gnarls Barkly, Hoodoo Gurus, JPY, Leo Sayer, Linda Ronstadt,Miley Cyrus, The Monkees, Neil Diamond, Queen, Tina Turner, Village People…
    When we're not playing our MacABBA show, we're performing mixed artist dance events

What suburbs do you play in?

  • We have played in suburbs across Melbourne, from Essendon to Lilydale, and Brighton to Craigeburn

Will you play outside the Melbourne metro area?

  • Yes, depending on the distance and timing of the event

How do we book you?

  • Sending an email to contact@coversinthecorner.com is the easiest way. Or use the contact form on our home page

How much lead time do you need for a booking?

  • The earlier the better. Booking well in advance are welcome. Last minute bookings are sometimes possible

Will you perform outside?

  • Yes, if it's under cover protected from weather (including rain coming sideways), with safe power supplied by the venue.

Will you perform free of charge for fundraisers?

  • We love supporting great causes, and will consider discounts for fundraiser events case by case, taking into account the charity, logistics and potential out of pocket costs

Do you have your own PA equipment?

  • We can provide all our own gear for smaller events, eg up to 150 people. For larger events where the venue does not have its own PA system, additional costs would apply for equipment hire

Will you dress according to the event theme?

  • If it's reasonably feasible, we'll do that. Regardless of the theme, we dress appropriately for the event (see our photo gallery)

Can we choose the songs for our event?

  • Yes, for general events, you can choose the sings for your event from our song list. 

Can we request songs not on your list?

  • Let's discuss it. We have done that, however, there is a cost for us to learn new material.

Do you check out the venue before the event?

  • Yes, we always visit the venue to get clear on the layout and logistics such as power supply, PA & lighting availability, parking and loading requirements. 

How do I confirm as booking?

  • Event bookings are confirmed upon payment of a deposit.

What are the payment arrangements for events?

  • Typically the deposit is 20%, with full payment required prior to the event.

Can we use your microphones for speeches through the PA system?

  • Absolutely! Just let us know in advance how many are required and who's coordinating the speeches.

What about background music?

  • We play background music through the PA system before and in between the live music sets. 

What's the typical timing for an event?

  • Depending on whether the event is 2 or 3 sets, the time from the first song to the last song is 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours. We can provide you with sample running sheets to help you plan your event.
